08:00 - Begin your day with a visit to Quindío's Botanical Garden and Butterfly House. Explore the lush mountain rainforest, marvel at native plant collections such as palms, heliconias, tree ferns, orchids, and carnivorous plants. Enjoy the bird observatory, observation tower, and various museums, including the Palms, Geological, Tunnel, Insects, and Butterflies Museums. Don't miss the enchanting Butterfly House and the hummingbird feeders.
13:00 - Enjoy a traditional lunch of "Fiambre Montañero," followed by a coffee tour at a local coffee farm. Learn about the entire coffee production process, from the plant to the cup, and savor the rich flavors of freshly brewed coffee.
Day Two:
08:00 - Meet at the car terminal for pick-up and take a traditional Jeep Willis to the Peñas Blancas Natural Reserve. Enjoy the scenic journey through the coffee cultural landscape, experiencing the beauty of the region.
13:00 - Lunch at the reserve.
14:00 - Spend the afternoon birdwatching and soaking in the stunning landscape. Continue your adventure with a coffee tour at La Vasconia coffee farm, a traditional finca with extensive coffee plantations.
Peñas Blancas Trekking: Embark on a medium-level trek through the Central Andes. This area is perfect for birdwatching and learning about the tropical and cloud forests. For an added thrill, opt for a safe rock climbing experience with experts for an additional $130 USD.
