Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Transparent Cancellation Overview
At Amarco Tours, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly due to health, work, or family circumstances. Because our tailor-made itineraries involve pre-booking exclusive executive vehicles, reserving private licensed Egyptologists, and purchasing non-refundable heritage entrance slots, we maintain a clear, fair, and tiered cancellation policy.
This policy is compliant with international card scheme standards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and payment gateway underwriting requirements (Paymob, Stripe, Fawry, Checkout.com).
2. Standard Tiered Cancellation Schedule
The following refund schedule applies to all standard day tours, private guided excursions, and VIP chauffeur airport transfers:

3. Nile Cruises, Dahabiyas & Peak Holiday Exceptions
Certain specialized travel categories follow bespoke supplier terms as mandated by maritime operators and civil aviation carriers:
- Nile Cruise & Dahabiya Charters: Boutique Nile sailing vessels possess very limited cabin inventory (often 6 to 12 suites total). Cancellations for full-boat charters or private suite bookings made less than 45 days prior to embarkation are non-refundable unless the cabin can be successfully re-sold.
- Peak Holiday Festive Seasons: Bookings operating during Christmas, New Year (December 20 – January 6), and Easter require non-refundable reservation commitments specified in your bespoke proposal.
- Domestic Flight Tickets: Tickets issued on EgyptAir or Air Cairo are governed by airline carrier fare conditions and are generally non-refundable once ticketed, though date modifications may be permitted subject to airline fee structures.
4. Refund Turnaround Time & Payout Method
All approved cancellation refunds are processed promptly by our finance department:
- Original Payment Method Only: Refunds are credited strictly back to the original credit card, debit card, or bank account used to make the initial payment. We do not issue cash refunds for electronic transactions.
- Processing Timeline: Refunds are initiated by Amarco within 3 to 5 business days of written cancellation approval. Depending on your card-issuing bank’s international settlement cycle, funds will appear on your card statement within 7 to 14 business days.
- Written Confirmation: You will receive an official digital credit note and gateway transaction reference ID as soon as the refund is initiated.
5. Chargeback Prevention & Dispute Resolution Clause
Amarco is committed to prompt, cordial, and fair resolutions for all customer concerns. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your booking or require a cancellation, you agree to contact Amarco Concierge directly (info@amarcoegypt.com or phone +20 122 111 2330) before initiating an unannounced chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company.
Direct contact allows us to review your dossier immediately, process valid refunds swiftly, or provide credit vouchers without the delays, bank fees, and administrative holds associated with formal chargeback disputes.
6. Force Majeure & Itinerary Rescheduling
If your travel is disrupted due to proven Force Majeure events (such as flight cancellations by international airlines, documented medical emergencies, or governmental travel restrictions), Amarco will waive standard cancellation penalties wherever possible and issue a 100% Amarco Travel Credit Voucher valid for twenty-four (24) months, allowing you to reschedule your Egyptian journey at your convenience.
